Sat Aug 19, 2023 10:56 pm
(Informations)
City : Boston, MA, USA
Venue : Boston Garden
Date : November 12, 1977
Leg : USA
Duration : 2 Hours and 30 minutes
(The show)
This is the longest concert Queen has ever played, with a show lasting almost 2 and a half hours.
This is the second live performance from the News Of The World tour and we only have one recording of this show and it is one of the 3 performances of the song Sleeping On The Sidewalk which comes from the official soundboard in A+ audio quality from the Queen archives which was included in the News Of The World box set released in 2017 for the 40th anniversary of the album.
With the recording we have, there's almost no doubt that the rest of the show must be incredible.
This recording shows Freddie in incredible vocal form, easily rivaling the Crazy Tour (considered his best vocal tour ever) and Brian doing an epic guitar solo (the whole band is at his peak).
He has a very stable, clean, smooth and powerful voice and sings the high notes very easily while sounding almost identical to the studio.
We can easily say that if the first live performances from the News Of The World tour in America were to be officially released, it would be mind-blowing and people would be shocked at how much Freddie could sing identically to the studio if he was on top form.
